This Day in LDS History

1964:President David O. Mckay dedicates the Oakland Temple (later the Oakland California Temple.)
1994:The First Presidency announces plans to build a temple in Nashville, Tennessee.
1997: Ground is broken for the Monticello Utah temple. Elder Ben. B. Banks, a member of the First Quorum of the seventy and president of the Utah South Area, presides over the ceremonies.
