1883: Paul Haslinger, the first convert in Austria, is baptized.
1925: Russell C. Taylor, later a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy, is born in Red Mesa, Colorado
1967: Elder Spencer W. Kimball visits northern Brazil on a fact-finding assignment to determine whether to expand or cut back missionary activity in the area. Within a year, a new mission is created, and later, as a result of President Kimball’s Revelation on priesthood, northern Brazil becomes one of the most successful missionary fields in the church.
