1948:Kresimir Cosic, later an all-American basketball player at BYU, Olympic bronze, silver, and gold medalist in basketball, and a Croatian diplomat, is born in Zagreb, Croatia.
1966: A replica of the Christus statue, which had been used at the Mormon pavilion at the New York World’s Fair, is placed in the Bureau of Information (visitor’s center) on the Los Angeles Temple (later the Los Angeles California Temple) grounds.
