This Day in LDS History

1898: Rudger Clawson is ordained an Apostle, replacing Lorenzo Snow, who had been called to the First Presidency.
1919: Belgium’s King Albert and Queen Elizabeth attend a recital on Temple Square to hear the Tabernacle Organ.
1920: Gail Halvorsen, later known as the ‘Candy Bomber’ for dropping sweets for children during the Berlin airlift (1949), is born in Salt Lake City, Utah
1963: Thomas S. Monson is ordained an Apostle, replacing N.Eldon Tanner, who had been called to the First Presidency.
