1888: The Esselman family, the first converts in Belgium, are baptized.
1901: Joseph F. Smith is ordained and set apart as the sixth President of the Church.
1965: The New York World’s Fair concludes. The Mormon Pavilion, with a 127-foot-high replica of the triple east towers of the Salt Lake Temple, was visited by millions during the fair.
1993: The First Presidency issues a statement reaffirming the Church’s right to discipline members of the Church
