Here’s your daily dose of what matters most!
When our weaknesses discourage us, we can turn to Jesus Christ and keep moving forward instead of deciding we cannot change. Each time we get up and try again, His grace helps us grow beyond what we could accomplish alone.
Scripture
“And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.”—Ether 12:27
Quote
“Looking more closely at what the Lord is teaching us here, we see that He first says that He gives men and women weakness, singular, which is part of our mortal experience as fallen or carnal beings. We have become natural men and women because of the Fall of Adam. But through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can overcome our weakness, or our fallen natures.”—Kevin S. Hamilton, “Then Will I Make Weak Things Become Strong”

Living the Principle: Let the Lord Make You Strong
- Choose one weakness to bring to the Lord in prayer today. Ask Him to help you recognize one step toward growth.
- After a setback, identify what you can learn instead of criticizing yourself. Then make another honest attempt.
- Notice one way the Lord has already helped you change. Write it down as a reminder that continued growth is possible.
