God’s great plan centers on our freedom to choose, reminding us that we are not carried forward by accident but shaped by the decisions we make each day. As we turn toward Christ and follow His commandments, we discover that real joy grows from overcoming weakness through Him and serving others the way He did.

Living the Principle: O How Great the Plan of Our God
- Keep a written list of one or two commandments you feel prompted to live better, and place it somewhere visible so your choices are guided by intention rather than impulse. When a decision arises, pause long enough to measure it against that list and act in alignment with what you know is right.
- Identify a weakness that tends to discourage you, then kneel and specifically ask for Christ’s help in that area before you face it again. Take one concrete step that shows trust in Him, such as apologizing, resisting a habit, or following through on something you have avoided.
- Choose a form of service that requires effort rather than convenience, like preparing a meal for someone who is struggling or offering to help with a demanding task. As you serve, consciously pattern your tone and actions after the Savior’s example of patience and kindness, allowing your discipleship to become visible.

I loved this. I have tried to check out the Book of Mormon Videos from my local library in Holladay and for some reason, my DVD player will not play them? The ones I have seen online are so incredibly done, but more importantly, The Book of Mormon is truly the word of God and draws me closer to Christ as I study it. That doesn’t mean life is easy. I don’t think it was meant to be, as we are here to be proven in all things, but what great blessings these additional plain and precious truths are to know! As we keep the faith it will surely keep us. We are free to choose. Such an important principle. We live in a highly reactive, even contentious world. We must let nothing destroy our peace in Christ, and what we can look forward to, being reunited with our Father in Heaven and our loving Savior! Doesn’t mean it will always be easy, as I said, but we press forward with faith in Christ (see 2nd Nephi 31:20) if you have a copy of the Book of Mormon.
