This Day in Church History
1966: The Church News announces the publication of the Book of Mormon in Korean, translated by Han In San and seven assistants, and notes that the more than three thousand members in that country have been anxious to have it completed.
1976: The Taipei Taiwan Stake, the first stake in Taiwan, is organized, with I-Ching Chang as president.
1978: The Church announces the name extraction program, through which Church members research the names and vital information of deceased individuals and families for temple work.
