Here’s your daily dose of what matters most!

Reverence is happiness and love because it opens our hearts to feel God’s presence more fully and recognize His blessings around us. When we approach life with reverence—for people, sacred things, and truth—we create space for lasting joy and deeper connection.

Scripture

“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.”Hebrews 12:28

Quote

“We must remember that reverence is not a somber, temporary behavior that we adopt on Sunday. True reverence involves happiness, as well as love, respect, gratitude, and godly fear. It is a virtue that should be part of our way of life. In fact, Latter-day Saints should be the most reverent people in all the earth.”—Spencer W. Kimball

Living the Principle: Reverence Is Happiness & Love

  • Begin your day with a moment of stillness or prayer, intentionally inviting the Spirit and expressing gratitude before diving into your tasks.
  • Choose one sacred space in your home (like a scripture study spot or prayer corner) and treat it with special care and quiet respect throughout the week.
  • Commit to greater self awareness in your speech and the way you approach sacred important topics, praying for help in achieving your goal.
