1829: Oliver Cowdery baptizes Joseph Smith’s younger brother Samuel at Harmony, Pennsylvania. Samuel is the third person baptized in this dispensation, following Oliver Cowdery and Joseph Smith on May 15.
1906: President Joseph F. Smith purchases the press that the first edition of the Book of Mormon will be printed on.
1935: The Brazilian Mission is organized.
1984: The Boise Idaho Temple is dedicated by President Gordon B. Hinckley of the First Presidency.
