Here’s your daily dose of what matters most! We can learn from the story of the five wise virgins and keep our spiritual lamps full of oil as we wait for the day when the Lord returns to earth. It is crucial to make spiritual preparations for the Second Coming of the Lord, in addition to physical preparations for emergencies.
Check back tomorrow for more inspiration.
And it shall come to pass, that whoso repenteth and is baptized in my name shall be filled; and if he endureth to the end, behold, him will I hold guiltless before my Father at that day when I shall stand to judge the world.—3 Nephi 27:16
We need to make both temporal and spiritual preparation for the events prophesied at the time of the Second Coming. And the preparation most likely to be neglected is the one less visible and more difficult—the spiritual. A 72-hour kit of temporal supplies may prove valuable for earthly challenges, but, as the foolish virgins learned to their sorrow, a 24-hour kit of spiritual preparation is of greater and more enduring value.–Dallin H.
