Here’s your daily dose of what matters most!
Spiritual growth requires us to take initiative instead of waiting for someone else to motivate us. As we make scripture study and gospel learning part of our education, we gain the perspective to choose what brings lasting happiness.
Scripture
“Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness;”—Doctrine & Covenants 58:27
Quote
“Seminary, institute, or religion classes will provide balance to your life and add to your secular education by giving you another opportunity to spend time studying the scriptures and the teachings of the prophets and apostles.”—M. Russell Ballard, “The Greatest Generation of Young Adults”

Living the Principle: Staying Spiritually Engaged
- Choose a consistent time each day to study the scriptures or teachings of Church leaders. Start with ten focused minutes if a longer study session feels difficult.
- Enroll in seminary, institute, or another religion class available to you. Protect that time as seriously as you would any other important commitment.
- Act on one truth you learn rather than stopping with study alone. Look for a specific way to serve, change a habit, or make a better choice that day.
