1989: The Kingdom of Jordan approves a Latter-day Saint center for culture and education to be established in Amman.
1999: President Gordon B. Hinckley dedicates the Guayaquil Ecuador Temple.
2004: Mexico Church membership now reaches 1 million members. Mexico is the first country outside of the United States to reach such numbers.
