To me, the greatest miracles in life are not the parting of the Red Sea, the moving of mountains, or even the healing of the body. The greatest miracle happens when we humbly approach our Father in Heaven in prayer, fervently plead to be forgiven, and then are cleansed of those sins through the atoning sacrifice of our Savior. —Linda S. 1847: while at Winter Quarters, President Brigham Young receives Doctrine and Covenants 136, outlining the ‘word and will of the lord’ concerning the Saints and their organization for the trek west.
1972: The Church announces the creation of the Church Historical Department, with new archives, history, and library divisions created from the former Church historians office.
1979: the Santa Cruz Bolivia Stake, the first stake in Bolivia, is organized, with Noriharu Ishigaki Haraguichi as president.
