Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace and believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. —Romans 15:13
We must not lose hope. Hope is an anchor to the souls of men. Satan would have us cast away that anchor. In this way, he can bring discouragement and surrender. But we must not lose hope. The Lord is pleased with every effort, even the tiny, daily ones in which we strive to be more like Him. Though we may see that we have far to go on the road to perfection, we must not give up hope. —Ezra Taft Benson

1967: Elder Spencer W. Kimball visits northern Brazil on a fact-finding assignment to determine whether to expand or cut back missionary activity in the area. Within a year, a new mission is created, and later, as a result of President Kimball’s Revelation on the priesthood, northern Brazil becomes one of the most successful missionary fields in the church.
