My invitation to all of us is to evaluate our lives, repent, and keep on trying. If we don’t try, we’re just latter-day sinners; if we don’t persevere, we’re latter-day quitters; and if we don’t allow others to try, we’re just latter-day hypocrites. As we try, persevere, and help others to do the same, we are true Latter-day Saints. This Day in Church History
1839: In company with a small group of Saints, Emma Smith leaves Far West, Missouri to join the main body of Saints gathering in Quincy, Illinois.
1846: Brigham Young, President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, finishes administering temple blessings in the Nauvoo Temple as the Saints prepare to move west. Over 5,600 Saints were endowed in the temple before the exodus.
1901: Lorenzo Snow dedicates LDS Business College in Salt Lake City.
