Here’s your daily dose of what matters most!

When we treat our bodies and minds as gifts from God, daily choices about food, rest, habits, and self-control become part of our discipleship. What simple change would help us care for our bodies with more respect and receive the strength God promises to those who obey Him?

Scripture

“And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments, shall receive health in their navel and marrow to their bones.”Doctrine and Covenants 89:18

Quote

“May we care for our bodies and our minds by observing the principles set forth in the Word of Wisdom, a divinely provided plan. With all my heart and soul, I testify of the glorious blessings which await us as we do.”—Thomas S. Monson, “Principles and Promises”

Living the Principle: Why Do We Need the Word of Wisdom?

  • Choose one daily habit that strengthens the body, such as drinking more water, going to bed earlier, or preparing a simple nourishing meal.
  • Identify one habit that weakens the body or mind, then make a specific plan to limit it, replace it, or remove it.
  • Pray for greater self-control and treat health choices as part of discipleship, not just personal improvement.
