1962: Richard Paul Evans, The New York Times Best-Selling author of The Christmas Box, is born in Salt Lake City, Utah.
1986: In the first Young Women activity held throughout the Church, an estimated three hundred thousand young women at thousands of sites around the world release helium-filled balloons containing personal messages.
