Nothing says America like America’s Choir, and this rendition of Battle Hymn of the Republic will stir your souls. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir has been acting as an unofficial ambassador for the United States for years, traveling the world and performing awe-inspiring concerts. They’ve even released two patriotic song collections, America’s Choir and Spirit of America.
Alex Boyé – Calling America
Alex Boyé, though born in London, became an American citizen on February 22, 2012. When he received his citizenship, he felt inspired to finish the song he began writing after learning of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. This song, Calling America, is the result. Boyé is an interent sensation with his Africanized covers of pop songs. He recently made waves by performing Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” on America’s Got Talent.
Rob Gardner – The Price of Freedom
Rob Gardner is the head of Spire Music, a non-profit organization that has created multiple arrangements and pieces that are now considered classics in LDS culture, including “My Kindness Shall Not Depart from Thee” and “Savior, Redeemer Of My Soul.” Gardner, alongside McKane Davis, wrote The Price of Freedom, a powerful musical that tells the story about the soldiers who fought in World War II and the loved ones they left behind. Now the YouTube sensation is performing in venues and music videos around the world.
