Earlier this week, popular LDS singer and performer Alex Boyé was in a car crash. He did not reveal all the details of the crash but did take to social media to share the story and express his gratitude and faith.
“All I remember is dizzying out and then the ambulance taking me to the hospital,” Boyé wrote. “I remember I kept thinking & worrying about the person in the other vehicle, hoping there were no baby’s or kids involved and that everybody is ok. Thankfully, no injuries to person in other vehicle.”
According to Boyé, all he is experiencing is some soreness. He also shared the surprising gift it was that he was driving a new car; a local dealership had asked him to test a new 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander and give a review.
“Having that second airbag probably saved my life, or at least from certain disfigurement in my legs,” Boyé said of the second airbag that deployed at his feet.
2 days ago, I got into a car crash. All I remember is dizzying out and then the ambulance taking me to the hospital. I remember I kept thinking & worrying about the person in the other vehicle, hoping there were no baby’s or kids involved and that everybody is ok. Thankfully, no injuries to person in other vehicle. I Just want to say I am fine and am now at home playing with my kids like nothing had happened Other than the soreness I’m feeling like I just got hit by a truck Oh wait I did!…ha ha! Julie was superwoman she couldn’t get anyone to watch the kids right at the moment I contacted her, so she threw them all in the car to come and get me at the hospital. Come to find out she has been in a car crash nine times, so is an expert and wasn’t as freaked out as I thought she would be. Of course she is glad I’m alive. Ha ha! I want to express a huge apologies to karl malone mitshibishi for ruining their car – You see the dealership called me a week ago and asked me if I would showcase their brand new 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander and tell them what my favorite things are about the car. Well, ironically Well here is my real & truly honest answer… Looking back from ambulance and seeing the extent of damage the car was in, it got me thinking I was glad to be alive and could have easily been SO much worse. I noticed that right during the impact, there were 2 airbags that deflated on me. One to my face and the other to my legs and lower body. Dude….Having that second airbag probably saved my life, or at least from certain disfigurement in my legs. If I had teenage kids, I would definitely feel safe with them driving this vehicle. Not the one I was expecting to give when I left the dealership, but there it is!!!! So, major thanks and gratitude to @malonemitsu for letting me drive the outlander because I know the car I have been driving previous would not have withstood the same impact, and again, who knows? Now to my huge surprise, they are hooking me up with another outlander. What?? #thankful I Just Pray to God I don’t crash this one. I love my wife and my kids, and love my fans and my LIFE. That’s all. #malonemitsubishi #carlmalonedelivers
