Your local priesthood leader is being held hostage for ransom. Your mission? Join with your young men, young women, or FHE group to rescue him.
This is the premise of a special new LDS-themed escape room blueprint, provide for free by Getout Games, a popular Utah escape room company. The plans and instructions for the game are free to download, easy to follow, and inexpensive to create. It’s an ideal activity for youth groups, YSA wards, ward activities, and other LDS groups.
The escape room blueprint is even themed around the 2018 Mutual Theme, “Peace in Christ” and uses both media clips and scriptures centered on the theme. Don’t worry if you’re not playing with the youth; the activity is geared for LDS members ages 12 and up, with some adult help for children.
A few props will be needed, but Getout Games does a great job at providing you a full list and even pricing and suggested brands for the few things you may need to purchase.
To get the free blueprint, all you have to do is click here. After completing a short form (so Getout Games can create more LDS games like this!), you’ll be given a link to download the instructions, the introduction video, and all of the puzzles and printable props you’ll need.
