Church Releases First Vision Video Online

This past Sunday, the Church’s YouTube, which currently has over 1 million subscribers, released a video depicting the beautiful events of the First Vision. Visitors of Temple Square in Salt Lake City will find this video familiar, as it is the same video that is shown in the Visitor’s Center on the grounds of the historic Temple. The video features beautiful music and cinematography in illustrating the various accounts of the First Vision, culminating in the appearance of the Father and Son to the Prophet Joseph Smith.

The video, which before Sunday was only available on the Church website or when visiting Temple Square, is now posted on the Church’s YouTube channel and is receiving wide acclaim from a diverse audience. As we prepare for the upcoming General Conference, there are many questions Latter-day Saints are preparing to receive answers to during this historic conference, and the release of this video further emphasizes President Nelson’s invitation to #HearHim and to draw closer to our loving Father in Heaven. In the conclusion of the video, the famous quote from Joseph Smith enters the frame and reminds us of his deep and unshakable faith in the Father and the Son,

“Truly this is a day long to be remembered… A day in which the God of heaven has begun to restore the ancient order of His kingdom to bring about the completion of the fullness of the Gospel… To prepare the earth for the return of His glory.”
