David Archuleta has released a brand new single entitled “Paralyzed.” The Latter-day Saint singer who first gained fame on “American Idol” in 2008 has consistently been making music since his return from his mission in 2014. “Paralyzed” represents a mature shift in sound for Archuleta, best known for his romantic pop songs.
In a social media video, Archuleta shared what this song was about and the meaning behind the video: “This song is about just the hesitancies and the fears that I’ve let get in the way so many times from moving forward and I fell like I’ve missed out on a lot of opportunities because I let those fears get the best of me and I get frustrated, but it’s a battle I’ve been fighting.”
The dancers in the video are meant to represent that battle Archuleta has experienced with his fears. Watch the full video below.
