Former BYU standout and NCAA college player of the year, Jimmer Fredette was awarded the NBA D-League All-Star MVP award on Saturday. Not only did Jimmer win the MVP award, he also set a D-Leage All-Star game scoring record with 36 points.
You just try to go out there any play. You sometimes can’t control everything out there. You can control how you play, your attitude and if you’re happy or not. – Jimmer Fredette
After playing for several NBA teams, Jimmer was cut from the San Antonio Spurs before the start of the 2016 NBA season and was picked up by the NBA D-League Westchester Knicks. During his time in the D-League, Jimmer has averaged 22.6 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.5 rebounds.
Following the All-Star game in Toronto, Jimmer was optimistic about his NBA career saying, “There are lots of NBA teams out there watching. You just gotta be able to perform every single night. You just gotta give it your best and give it you all and see what happens in the end.”
Any NBA team would be lucky to have this great basketball player on their team.
