Monster Movie “The Great Brine Shrimp” Features Famous Latter-day Saint Landmarks

In the early 1970s, filmmaker Mike Cassidy created a campy spoof on his favorite monster movies of the era. “The Great Brine Shrimp” was filmed in Salt Lake City, Utah, and ends with a humorous battle inspired by other infamous pioneer-era stories from Latter-day Saint history. Outside of the fun, the footage is also an interesting glimpse at historic Latter-day Saint landmarks. You can watch the entire short film on YouTube.
