In an email sent out today to multiple members, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square announced a change in how it will distribute tickets to its annual Christmas concert.
In years past, interested individuals would enter their information into a lottery system. Tickets were then distributed randomly. This year, tickets will be “distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until they are gone.”
A person may request up to four tickets. Tickets will become available at lds.org/events beginning at 10 a.m. MDT on Saturday, October 15, 2016. Tickets are exclusively online; no phone or in-person request will be available.
According to the email, the change was a result of “…some processing delays, in people not being able to select the night for their tickets, and in other handling problems at the box office. This year patrons will be able to see which nights are available at the time they make their selection and will know at the end of their request which night their tickets are for.”

The special concert guest will be announced on October 13, 2016. To stay up to date on all information related to the Choir, click here.
