Paul Cardall is a two-time #1 Billboard artist and beloved pianist within the LDS community. Recently, he released a music video from his latest album, 40 Hymns for 40 Days.
The video depicts the temptation of Christ as He sojourned in the wilderness. The video descriptions shares the scriptures that inspired the arrangement:
Then was Jesus led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He afterward hungered… For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. (Matthew 4:1-2 & Hebrews 2:18)
The entire album features all new hymn arrangements for the piano and strings. You can see the entire track listing for the two-disc set here.
