Latter-day Saint pianist Monica Scott has joined together with Rebecca Nelson and Michelle Moyer to release a new song dedicated to those struggling with their faith. The song, “Lead Me Home,” reflects some of the painful questions we ask ourselves.
“I feel like sometimes in writing music – it is like sharing a part of my soul,” Scott said. “Putting all my feelings and heart into something and giving it to the world not knowing how it will be received. This song feels especially vulnerable for me. I wanted to write a song for people who are struggling with their faith in Christ.”
Moyer provided the vocals while Scott and Nelson wrote the lyrics together. Melanie Yarger joined for the music video on the cello.
“For those questioning – I know personally that there is a God in heaven who loves us,” Scott said. “Who is merciful and understanding and He knows our struggles. He is still with us even when we don’t know if he is there. As we keep our faith in Him, we can feel heaven’s grace in our lives. It is my hope and prayer that through this song someone listening may feel this message.”
