Brandon Flowers, lead singer of The Killers and faithful LDS member, performed his new single “Can’t Deny My Love” off his second solo album on the Tonight Show, helmed by Jimmy Fallon.

When discussing the new album, named The Desired Effect and set to be released on May 18, Flowers stated to the popular magazine NME (New Music Express) that it is “definitely going to be different.” Flowers released his first solo album, Flamingo, in 2010, and performed some of the songs in his video for the “I’m a Mormon” campaign.

In the video, Flowers describes his family life and his desire to be a positive force in the world. He also mentions the struggles of balancing his career with his faith.

“A lot of people love to come up to me and tell me they were raised in the Church and they expect there to be this camaraderie about, ‘Oh we’ve out grown it now and we’re smarter enough now to not be in it.’ And it started happening so often it really made me take a look at myself and I realized I was raised in it and there is still a fire burning in there,” Flowers says in the video.

You can purchase “Can’t Deny My Love” on iTunes and get it as an instant download when you pre-order the full album.
