Latter-day Saint singer Bekah Sorensen has reimagined the beloved hymn “I’ll Go Where You Want Me to Go,” infusing it with a fresh and poignant perspective on fully consecrating your heart to the Lord.
“When I first started writing this version of the hymn, I was actually in Utah about to move with my family to Idaho. I remember how often the words of the hymn would cross my mind. And after only living in Idaho for one year, I clearly remember the Lord calling us to them move to Nauvoo, Illinois. I longingly looked at those majestic Idaho mountains one last time, that I knew I was going to leave, to come to this place with ‘earths harvest fields so wide,” Sorensen shared online about her inspiration behind the arrangement.
“When I’m tempted to look back or long to go back, I’ve had to keep reminding myself to be where he wants me to be. To be where he has called me to be at this time in my life.”
