Worldwide Youth Music Festival Announced – “A Great Work”

Youth worldwide have the opportunity to participate in a virtual, global Youth Music Festival on March 17, 2021, at 6 p.m. mountain daylight time.

Similar to the 2020 festival, this year’s 2021 Youth Music Festival’s pre-recorded, 40-minute, livestream virtual concert will feature personal, powerful testimonies by youth and leaders from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as photos, videos and performances of youth from around the world.

The theme of the Youth Music Festival is based on the 2021 Youth theme, “Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great. Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind” (Doctrine and Covenants 64:33-34; emphasis added).

The 2021 youth theme video, which was delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions, also will be released during the event. The Church released youth theme music album in January, and the songs will be performed during the festival.

On March 17, youth, parents and leaders can tune in to watch the concert on the YouTube.com/StrivetoBe. It will also be available on the Church’s Live Broadcasts or Facebook Live pages. Youth are encouraged to invite their Latter-day Saint friends and friends of other faiths to watch.

The recorded broadcast will be available for on-demand viewing on YouTube.com/StrivetoBe, the Church’s Live Broadcasts page and in Gospel Library music collection (online and app).
