Jesus Christ is our King! In this Come Follow Me FHE lesson, we go over what we can do to praise Christ in our everyday lives and why He is deserving of honor. Each of our FHE lessons includes three lesson plans for different ages, treat recipes, activity ideas, and more.

Lesson
FOR CHILDREN
Video: Begin the lesson by watching the following video about Zacchaeus.
Ask: What did Zacchaeus do to be closer to Jesus?
Read: Jesus knew Zacchaeus by name and where he was. The Savior knows you by name. He sees you and loves you. When we do our best to be near Him, He will call out to us. Sometimes, we may feel like Zaccaheus. We may feel like no one likes us or that we’ve made some big mistakes. No matter what, Jesus loves us. He wants to help us and change our hearts.
Ask: What are some things we can do to show Jesus we want to be close to Him?
Read: We can show our love for Jesus by worshipping Him. When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem, many of His disciples waved palm branches and cried “Hosanna!” We can worship Jesus by keeping the commandments and living the gospel. We can tell God how grateful we are for Jesus when we pray.
Share: Share an experience where you felt gratitude for Jesus and wanted to worship Him.

Video: Begin the lesson by watching the following video. Ask everyone to ponder on the question, “How do I show the world that I know Jesus is the Christ?” Discuss that question after the video is done playing.
Read: Jesus Christ bears many titles and takes on many roles in our lives. He is our Savior. He is our Friend. He is our Advocate with the Father. The title of King is one that we may not think about very often. Yet, both ancient and modern prophecies remind us that Jesus is our King and deserving of glory and worship.
Ask: What do you think of when you hear the word “king”? What can we learn about what Jesus can do for us with this title?
Read: Just as those who waved palms recognized the divinity of Christ and celebrated, we can show our love and admiration for Christ throughout our lives.
Ask: What are some ways we can honor and recognize Christ in our everyday lives?
