With the arrival of the new year comes a lot of new curriculum for the Church’s many organizations. We’ve got a list of 10 really awesome resources for teachers, leaders, and students to make the most out of their Gospel study!
1. The Ready Resource for Relief Society, Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Howard W. Hunter
Preparing for Relief Society has never been easier with this invaluable book. For each week, you’ll find a lesson summary, quotes from General Authorities, hymns that match the topic, and a beautiful handout you can copy for each sister. 2. 2016 Youth Album
The Church has released a variety of resources for the 2016 Mutual Theme, Press Forward. One of the best is a free downloadable album with 11 songs. Not only can you get the songs, but there are also karaoke tracks available as well as sheet music. The entire thing is also available on Spotify or Apple Music.
3. Sharing Time “I Know the Scriptures Are True” Resources
LDS.org doesn’t just have the manuals you need. They’ve also got large versions of pictures for all the Primary lessons in the sharing time outline and songs to use for your sacrament meeting presentation. You can access it all here.
4. Howard W. Hunter Online Exhibit
The Priesthood and Relief Society will be studying from the teachings of President Howard W. Hunter. The Church’s historical site has put together a beautiful online exhibit about President Hunter’s life. Learn more and add depth to your study by taking a look at it here.
5. I Know the Scriptures are True Primary Theme Pack – Printable
This primary theme pack for 2016 includes posters, handouts, a classroom door sign, bookmarks, binder covers and monthly themed posters. The customizable classroom sign will allow teachers to add children’s names for their class door. The binder covers also have the option for leaders to add his or her name for a more customized effect. There are also various posters in sizes 5×7, 8×10, and 16×20 to hang throughout classrooms or the primary room. On top of that, there are individual posters for each month’s sharing time theme.
