Missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are called to share the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ with all the world. However, they’ve faced increased challenges as the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the work. While missionaries are taking things in stride, they can still use help in adjusting to sharing in different ways. There as never been a greater opportunity for members to step up and get involved. So, here are three ways we can help missionaries share the gospel during the COVID-19 pandemic.

1. Ask Your Local Missionaries to Teach You a Lesson Online

Help your local missionaries (or another missionary you know) keep their teaching skills sharp! Ask if they’ll teach you a short lesson or share an inspiring message with your family. Some missionaries may have remained very busy, but some may be struggling to find teaching opportunities, especially if they’re stuck inside. You’ll give them some much need interaction and a chance to teach a lesson inspired by the Spirit. And there’s nothing more encouraging to a missionary than that. If you know of someone who could use a boost, ask them if they’d like to join in.

2. Share Content from provides a lot of information about the Church and about missionaries. Post on your social media sites that missionaries are a great resource for encouragement during these dark times. They can teach how to strengthen families, help people connect to employment missionaries, and just provide an overall boost. You can also share who the missionaries are and why people should consider listening to him. Visit this link to begin finding great content about missionaries you can share online.

3. Send Them Stationary & Ask for Their Testimonies

Send missionaries stationary and ask them to write down their testimonies of Christ. Collect the testimonies and pray to know who to share them with. Include information about how to contact the missionaries if someone would like to learn more. If you feel able, include your testimony as well and how missionaries have impacted your life.

We hope these three ideas are just a starting point of inspiration for you on how to serve the Lord’s missionaries. What ideas do you have about how to support missionaries during this difficult time?
