The Church is hoping to start building a lifelong love of the scriptures with a new series of children’s coloring books.
Scripture Stories Coloring Book: Book of Mormon is the first installment in the series and was released this week. It is aimed to help children become interested and engaged with scripture stories. Inside the coloring book, children and their families will not only find pages to color but pages featuring dot-to-dot, look and find, and other activities. Many of the pages also invite children to ponder questions about the scriptures.
The entire PDF file is available now for free at children.lds.org. You can access it by clicking here. You can print the entire thing or individual pages. A printed copy of the 20-page coloring book is also available at low cost here.
“The scriptures can be fun,” explained Elder R. Lawrence of the Seventy. “These activities teach them in their early years that they can find answers to their questions within the pages of the scriptures. After all, the scriptures are for everyone.”
