General Conference is a wonderful time full of revelation, family traditions, and endlessly quotable quotes. It is also a great opportunity to share the knowledge of living prophets and apostles with the world. There is no better way to do this than with social media. Here’s a handy list of tips for sharing the joy of General Conference on social media.

Use the hashtag #LDSConf

#LDSConf is the official hashtag for General Conference. When you post about experiences, use it on all social media sites! You can also use the hashtag to aggregate great content from other users. There are also official hashtags for all of the General Authorities of the Church. You can see the full list of Mormon hashtag recommendations here.

Share viewing times on your Facebook page

Invite your friends to tune into General Conference by sharing this link on social media. It has all the information on how to tune into General Conference, including when General Conference starts, where you can watch it, and what apps the Church uses. It also has links on how to prepare and information about past conferences.

Share personal experiences

Make sure to post that you’re tuning in. It can be a photo of your perfect General Conference snacks, tweets from your favorite talks, or your testimony of General Conference. Prayerfully consider what will be a genuine expression of your love of General Conference.

Make sure your Gospel Library app is updated

The Church has made some pretty awesome changes to the Gospel Library app, including new ways to take notes, highlight things, and more. The Gospel Library app is one of the best places to access all General Conference content! You can get access to your favorite General Conference moments, which you can share with your friends and family on social media. So go to your app store and make sure you’ve updated your app. Or download it if you don’t already have it.

Follow the Church’s official accounts

All of our Church leaders have social media accounts! So do many Church institutions and organizations. They’ve already been posting about their General Conference preparations and many share their thoughts on General Conference once the weekend is over. Make sure to follow as many as you’re interested in. Check out this epic master list and start following! There are links to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and more!

Follow LDS influencers

In addition to the Church, many good organizations by Church members provide awesome content during Conference, including LDS Daily. You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
