5 Unique Ways to Bear Your Testimony

- Advertisment - Save on Great LDS Gifts

Our testimonies of Jesus Christ have power! They invite light and truth into our lives and the lives of others. While bearing testimony in formal church meetings is the most common way Latter-day Saints share what they know and believe, there are many other ways to testify of Christ.

Here are just five! We hope they get you thinking about how the Lord may want you to bear your testimony.

Bear Your Testimony In Prayer

Gospel Q&A: Why Does It Feel Like My Prayers Aren’t Reaching God?

Affirming what we believe in prayer to God can be an important way to connect and feel the Spirit. It also shows Heavenly Father that we cherish and are grateful for the faith He has planted in our hearts. You can easily bear your testimony in prayer. Tell the Lord what you know about Him and why. Ask Him to help you grow in truth and feel the Holy Ghost.

Bear Your Testimony Online

Sharing the gospel online is natural and easy in today’s highly connected culture. You can literally write out your testimony or share gospel content that reflects your feelings for God. It’s important to ponder on what feels spirit-led and relevant to your life. Lots of performative posting might drive people away.

Bear Your Testimony One-on-One

It's Time to Do Your Ministering | 21 May 2024

It may feel awkward at first, but bearing your testimony privately to another person is an effective way to draw closer together with those you love. Sometimes, this happens naturally as you discuss the gospel of Jesus Christ and any doubts or feelings you may have. Other times, you may want to consider asking if you bear your testimony to someone. This can help you feel more comfortable sharing your private thoughts.

Bear Your Testimony In a Journal

Writing your testimony down in a journal has multiple benefits. Not only does it help you process and remember your feelings, but you leave an inspiring record for future generations. One helpful practice might be to write down your testimony at the beginning of each new year in a testimony journal. This way you can go back each year and see how you have grown and changed.

Bear Your Testimony In a Book of Mormon

Book of Mormon Come Follow Me FHE Lesson - "Another Testament of Jesus Christ"

This one is well-known and has a missionary focus! You write down your testimony of Jesus Christ in a Book of Mormon and prayerfully ponder on who to give it to. Some people have multiple books prepared and others wait for inspiration to strike. However you do it, this act of missionary service takes bravery, but makes such a big impact.

What are some ways you bear your testimony?
