Despite living in a time of personal danger, Moroni focuses on the ordinances, covenants, and spiritual practices necessary for the Church to thrive. His words are a reminder of the importance of faithful discipleship and the organization of Christ’s Church.

Moroni 1: Moroni describes his reasons for continuing to write, despite being pursued by the Lamanites. He expresses his commitment to preserving sacred truths for future generations. This chapter highlights his unwavering faith in God, even in dire circumstances.

Moroni 2: Moroni recounts the instructions Christ gave to His disciples regarding the bestowal of the Holy Ghost. This chapter emphasizes the priesthood authority required for sacred ordinances and the role of the Holy Ghost in guiding and sanctifying believers.

Moroni 3: This chapter outlines how priests and teachers were ordained in the Church through prayer and the laying on of hands. Moroni stresses that ordinations must be done in humility, seeking God’s will to ensure the Church operates under divine authority.

Moroni 4:Moroni recordes the sacrament prayer for the bread. This sacred ordinance renews covenants with God, allowing members to remember the Savior and be strengthened in their commitment to Him.

Moroni 5: This chapter includes the sacrament prayer for the water, reiterating the importance of remembering Christ’s atoning sacrifice and striving to keep His commandments.

Moroni 6: Moroni details the qualifications for Church membership and the spiritual practices of the early Saints. He emphasizes repentance, worthiness, and the importance of meeting together often to strengthen one another through worship and prayer.

1. Renew Your Covenants During the Sacrament: Before partaking of the sacrament, spend time in personal reflection during the passing of the bread and water. Consider specific ways you can better “remember Him” in the coming week—whether through more frequent prayer, improved scripture study, or kindness in your interactions with family or coworkers.
2. Strengthen Your Church Community Through Service: Identify one person in your ward or branch who may need extra support—such as a new member, someone who hasn’t attended recently, or someone going through a trial. Reach out to them this week through a phone call, note, or visit, and offer your encouragement or assistance.
3. Actively Invite the Holy Ghost into Your Life: Each day, begin with a prayer specifically asking for the companionship of the Holy Ghost. As you go about your day, write down any promptings you feel and act on them immediately, whether it’s offering a kind word, avoiding a temptation, or expressing gratitude.

These small, consistent efforts can help you draw closer to God and align your life with His teachings.
