Easter Study Plan: Mary Magdalene—A Chosen Witness

For the Easter season, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has created a special scripture study plan from the perspective of Mary Magdalene.  In the preface, it states, “In the next few days, you can take a brief look at the Crucifixion and Resurrection events from the perspective of Mary Magdalene, who was a witness to the Crucifixion and the first witness to the resurrected Christ.”

Beginning on Wednesday, April 13, the study plan has five days of study materials, including specific scriptures, videos, and heart-felt study questions designed to draw you closer to Christ.

“As we approach Easter and study the daily aspects of the last week of the Savior’s mortal ministry (you can also watch depictions of these events), you can use Mary Magdalene’s experiences as a portal to insert yourself into that situation and ponder how you might have acted if you were there,” the study guide says.

You can access this powerful Easter study plan online here or by selecting the “Jesus Christ” icon in your Gospel Library app.
