President Nelson Turns 99 Next Week. Here’s How to Celebrate!

- Advertisment - Save on Great LDS Gifts

President Russell M. Nelson, prophet and president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was born on September 9, 1924. This year, he is turning 99! As we contemplate how to express our gratitude for the way President Nelson brings us closer to Jesus Christ through his prophetic counsel and care, we can strengthen our testimonies.

To celebrate President Nelson’s birthday, we’ve created a special gift with a challenge. This free printable pack includes 8 designed prints featuring encouraging quotes from President Nelson. In the week leading up to his birthday, you’re invited to print off the cards, write a message on the back, and give it to someone in need.

President Nelson has recently encouraged us to be peacemakers and to overcome the world through Christ. There is no better way to honor his life than to follow his counsel and share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

On April 14, 2022, President Nelson became the oldest president in Church history, surpassing President Gordon B. Hinckley who was 97 when he passed in 2008. Click here to learn more about President Nelson’s life.
