1844 Because of serious threats made by the enemies of the Church, Joseph Smith orders the Nauvoo Legion to protect Nauvoo and addresses the men, giving his last public discourse.
1960 Presiding Bishop Joseph L. Wirthlin dedicates the Aaronic Priesthood Restoration Monument on the banks of the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania.
1995 The Bangkok Thailand Stake, the first stake in Thailand, is organized.
