Bountiful Utah Temple Spire Dismantled

The granite-faced spire and angel Moroni that have topped the Bountiful Utah Temple for over 20 years was stripped to its steel framework this week. Scaffolding rows have been placed atop the temple as crews work on repairing the spire. Repairs will include the removal of rust from the metal framing and improving airflow. The temple will remain open during the project except during a previously scheduled maintenance closure in the latter half of July.
