President Kurt Blickenstaff, mission president of the Taiwan Taichung Mission, reported all missionaries serving in Taiwan are safe after a 6.4 magnitude earthquake hit the country on Saturday.

Church spokesman Dale Jones issued this statement, published in Deseret News:

“The Church extends our love and concern for the people of Taiwan impacted by this major earthquake. Gratefully all missionaries serving in the area are accounted for and are safe. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are suffering.”

The death toll is currently at 14 with over 100 more missing.
