A man was arrested in Modesto, California, after climbing onto the roof of a Latter-day Saint chapel and causing intentional damage. The man ripped off multiple stucco roof tiles and threw them. He told police officers he was having a “frustrating time” and surrendered peacefully after officers gave him some soda and cigarettes.

The damage is estimated to be minimal and the man, who remains unidentified, has a preliminary charge of felony vandalism. No one was injured during the incident.
