Drew Barrymore Features Giving Machines on Talk Show

Actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore featured the Giving Machines run by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on her segment “Drew’s News.”

“I’m very happy to see something like this taking place,” Barrymore said after describing some of the charitable items found in the Giving Machines. “Sometimes, you don’t exactly know where to go or what to do and these machines have generated 6.2 million dollars in revenue and gifts for people. I’ve always wanted philanthropy to be easier and more accessible for people.”

The Giving Machines are a special type of vending machine—instead of candy or soda, you purchase items local and worldwide charities need. There are ten locations around the world and you can also donate online.

The Church of Jesus Christ has provided the Giving Machines as part of its Light the World Christmas initiative since 2017. Light the World invites people of all faith to do good deeds throughout the holiday season. Learn more here.
