UPDATE: KSL has shared these pictures of Mason and Joseph together in the hospital.

Jeanette Bennett, a media personality and editor, is close friends with Chad and Kymberly Wells, the parents of Elder Mason Wells. Mason was injured seriously in the airport bombings in Brussels over a week ago. Mason, along with his companion Joseph Empey, are back in the United States receiving medical care.

Yesterday, Bennett shared an official update from the Wells family on her Facebook page, along with two pictures of Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and Elder Brent H. Nielson (Executive Director of the Missionary Department) visiting Mason in the Burn Center of the University of Utah Hospital.

According to the post, “Elder Oaks told Mason that the Lord is pleased with his service and that it may never be known all the ways Mason’s experiences and testimony have impacted others for good.”

A press conference is being scheduled soon by the hospital PR staff to continue to give updates on Mason’s condition. While no other missionaries have shared updates, it is likely they also received visits. We’ll add updates as they come.
