Here’s How to Take a Live Virtual Tour of Historic Kirtland

Many historic sites for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Nearly all have been (and remain) temporarily closed to in-person guided tours. However, thanks to the miracle of technology, you can still enjoy the spirit of some of these sacred places. Historic Kirtland is now offering free virtual tours to help you learn about why Kirtland, Ohio, is such an important part of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You’ll also be helping missionaries in the area stay busy! Tours can be done in 20 minutes or less.

To schedule a tour, just send an email to historickirtlandtours@gmail.com.

Kirtland was the headquarters for the Church for seven years and is the location of the first temple built in this dispensation. Heavenly keys were restored and the Savior appeared or spoke to more than twenty Church leaders during a glorious period of revealed truth. By taking a virtual tour, you can learn about some of these experiences and more.
