How to Donate to Light The World Giving Machines Online

- Advertisment - Save on Great LDS Gifts

The Giving Machines, a charitable take on traditional vending machines, have become a celebrated Christmas tradition for Latter-day Saints around the world. However, many wonder how they can participate if they don’t have a Giving Machine close by. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has worked with their charitable partners to add their most popular donation items online.

All you have to do is visit the Giving Machine section of the Light the World website. Scroll down the page to see the full list of the Church’s charitable partners. You’ll be able to click on whatever organization you’d like to donate to. Many of the global charity partners have created special Light the World items you can purchase. For example, you can donate:

  • a water pump from WaterAid to give a family clean water at home for cooking, bathing, and drinking
  • baby goats from Mentors International that also comes with business mentoring
  • one week of food for displaced families who have fled Ukraine from Lifting Hands International
  • polio vaccines for 100 kids from UNICEF

Since the Giving Machines first launched in 2017, more than $22 million has been raised by 1.5 million people around the world. There are more Giving Machines than ever before in 2023! You can find machines in 61 locations around the world. Click here to learn more about the Giving Machines and donate online.
