16 year old, Anna McArthur, is a Latter-day Saint and now a qualifier for the American Ninja Warrior semi finals!
At the age of seven, Anna would watch reruns of “American Ninja Warrior.” She was determined to be an athlete on the show one day.
St. George’s obstacle course training facility, “The Grip” gave Anna a place to practice and train. Her passion fueled her training throughout her teenage years.
Then, the NBC show changed its age qualifications for competition, shifting the minimum age from 19 to 15. This allowed the Utah teen to try out for the show in December 2022. Anna’s application was accepted and in February 2023 she flew to L.A. to film the show.
After filming the show, Anna shared a few photos on her social media and said, “Competing on American Ninja Warrior was the most amazing experience ever! So so grateful I got to share such a special opportunity with my friends, fam, and incredible ninjas & I’m literally so excited to share it with everyone! So grateful for all of the love and support!! #Godisgood “
When the semi finals’ qualifying run aired on July 17, Anna was seen competing twice. Her first run put her in 4th place giving her the opportunity to race against the 5th place athlete. She completed the course first, claiming herself the final spot in the semi finals!
In a few weeks you can watch to see the final outcome of the show. And you will most likely see this athlete for many more seasons to come!
