Nathaniel Cummings, an 18-year-old LDS Boy Scout from Virginia, has completed a rare feat by earning all 141 merit badges offered by the Scouting program.

Cummings started the journey when he was 11 and finished just two weeks before his eighteenth birthday, the age in which scouts conclude the program. He was honored in a ceremony for his achievement on September 30.

In article with Leesburg Today, Cummings said, “I felt really accomplished and relieved, especially finishing with two weeks to spare…It got difficult for a while there. When I was about 14 I lost some motivation and wondered if I was ever going to get there.”

The Scout Executive and CEO of Cumming’s area council Les Baron said, “We are very proud of Nathaniel’s accomplishment. More importantly, the skills he has learned will help him be prepared for any challenges life sends his way.”

Cummings was also featured in an interview with NBC Washington, which can we watched below. After graduation Cummings plans on serving a mission before studying pre-med at Brigham Young University.
